Ego has been named as finalists in the 2024 Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design (PIDA) Awards.

The PIDA Awards are designed to recognise companies and individuals who are making a significant difference in their field across Australia and New Zealand.

The recent refresh and redesign of packaging across the QV Face range has proudly earned a spot on the finalists list for the category that attracted the most entries in 2024 - Sustainable Packaging Design.

This category recognises companies that have developed innovative packaging or processing solutions that incorporates sustainability considerations, including Social, Material, Source Reduction, Energy and Recovery.

The packaging refresh of QV Face range for which Ego has been nominated focused on making the packaging more sustainable by increasing the percentage of recyclable packaging from 50.2% to 74.5%, whilst also decreasing the weight of packaging being used for the range by 14%.

Both of these changes combined means that, based on the amount of QV Face delivered to the Australian market alone in FY 22/23, we will divert approximately 13 tonnes of packaging from landfill each year.

Winners will be announced at the gala PIDA Awards ceremony in August.
