Its active ingredient, terbinafine hydrochloride, kills the fungus causing the infection and stops its growth. Terbinafine hydrochloride is a fat-soluble (lipophilic) compound from the allylamine group of antifungals that inhibits fungal growth. It also binds to the skin, helping to fight the infection even after the last application.
It works by stopping the fungus from producing ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane. Without ergosterol, the cell membrane becomes weak and damaged, causing the fungal cell to die. You can use SolvEasy on areas of your skin affected by athlete's foot, including the feet and between the toes. It should be applied to clean, dry affected areas once daily for a week. If the infection is on the sole of your foot, apply daily for 2 to 4 weeks.

If you stop using SolvEasy too early, you may not remove all the fungi from the affected areas, and the infection may return.
