Earlier this year, the second annual Dandelion Wishes Gala was held at the Palladium at Crown. The event was founded by Lincoln and Veronique Wulff after their fourth and fifth children were born premature at Monash Children’s Hospital.
Funds raised during the gala go towards purchasing high tech transportation cots that take high-needs babies from birthing suites to the neonatal intensive care unit. These cots help reduce the risk of babies developing chronic lung disease due to premature birth. The funds also go towards bedside patient entertainment and education systems to provide a welcome distraction for children. This allows them to access activities, TV programs, movies, games, education programs and communication tools to stay in touch with family, friends and their school.
With nearly 600 attendees on the night, the gala was a huge success and raised more than $420,000 to support to the Monash Children’s Hospital.
