Brisbane Nursing (BNS) Society made its debut launch at the Brisbane ACU campus orientation day in February 2018. BNS was newly formed late last year and exists to provide educational events to nursing students to assist them in achieving future job prospects, building relationships and providing support throughout their university studies.
Orientation day allows students to become familiar with the campus and to meet new students by getting involved in various university activities. BNS had their own stall at the orientation day aimed at new nursing, paramedic, midwifery and other health students. With over 200 new enrolments, BNS was able to speak to new students and introduce them to the health care industry by providing information and show bags students could take home with them.
A raffle was held for students who had joined as members with prizes including nursing packs and a bike to be won.
Ego was proud to have the opportunity to support the BNS by providing SunSense samples and information about skin care in show bags given out to new nursing students.
BNS had a successful launch at the ACU orientation day. By appearing at the orientation day, student memberships had increased by over 120 members over the two orientation days. Congratulations on your hard work BNS!
Ego wishes all new students and members the best of success in their studies.
